Assessment of heat shock duration. Hydroponically grown Arabidopsis seedlings were subjected to heat shock at 45 °C for different time periods, then harvested after 4 days of recovery to measure chlorophyll content. Error bars represent the standard deviation (n = 12 wells with ca. 10 seedlings each). Different letters indicate significant differences between treatments (Fisher’s LSD, P < 0.05)
