Sections prepared with the Rapid-Tome by students with no prior sectioning experience. The quality of the sections shows that the learning curve with this tool is low. Students were given a protocol and hands-on demonstration of the operation of the Rapid-Tome and had less than an hour of practice to section and stain various samples with phloroglucinol-HCl.
