Buckwheat plants cultivated under either control, 3-day, or 6-day long waterlogged conditions. The containers (L 365 mm × W 485 mm × H 600 mm) containing root boxes were placed in a greenhouse to protect the plants from rain under natural light conditions. Each container can contain up to six root boxes. In the waterlogging treatments, the soil was waterlogged to approximately 30 mm above the soil surface
