Growth response of wild-type Arabidopsis Columbia to different light regimes, in 16 h light/8 h dark. Between days 7 and 10 all plants were in control conditions (150 μmol m⁻² s⁻¹ light intensity). Low light (50 μmol m⁻² s⁻¹ light intensity) and dark were applied at day 10 for 24 (time interval 10–11) or 48 h (time interval 10–12) by shifting the plates to the respective conditions. Control plates remained in original conditions and were not shifted.
