From: Monitoring leaf water content with THz and sub-THz waves
Result of a measurement series with the automated setup. The THz transmission through the leaf of a rye plant is plotted together with the weight of the pot. In agreement with Born et al. [16] higher transmission values stand for smaller water content in the leaf. Comparison of the two graphs shows how drought stress builds up while the amount of water available to the plant is decreased. Also the immediate reaction of the plant to rewatering is visible.
