From: AraDQ: an automated digital phenotyping software for quantifying disease symptoms of flood-inoculated Arabidopsis seedlings

Fig. 4

AraDQ-based image analysis of Arabidopsis seedlings treated with different Pseudomonas strains. Seedlings of A. thaliana (Col-0) were flood-inoculated with 1.0 × 106 colony-forming units (CFUs)/ml of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 wild-type (WT) and cmaA and hrpA mutant strains, and the disease symptoms were analyzed using AraDQ at 3 days post-inoculation (DPI). A Visual comparison of flood-inoculated seedlings after image correction. B Leaf area (cm2) of flood-inoculated seedlings. C Green chromatic coordinate (GCC) of flood-inoculated seedlings. D Hue saturation value (HSV)-based green/yellow color categorization of individual flood-inoculated seedlings. The values of leaf area and GCC represent the means calculated using data obtained from six different seedlings, and error bars indicate standard deviation. Statistical significance was determined by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey’s honestly significant differences (HSD) tests. Mean values marked with the same letter do not differ significantly (p < 0.05). The data shown are representative of three independent experiments
