Plant Methods wishes to announce that Editor-in-Chief, Professor Brian Forde, will be stepping down from the role after 10 years of service. We would like to thank Professor Forde for his hard work and dedication, which has helped establish Plant Methods as one of the leading plant science journals.
We are therefore seeking a new Editor-in-Chief to direct the journal in its next phase of development and to build on Professor Forde’s work.
The successful candidate will have a broad interest in plant science technologies, editorial experience and a clear strategic vision for Plant Methods.
The new Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for the editorial direction of the journal, selecting quality content as well as making decisions regarding publication. The Editor-in-Chief role also requires sound knowledge of ethics and policies in publishing and science, although training and support will be provided. The Editor-in-Chief will also be required to build and maintain strong relationships with research networks and industry to further cement the journal’s position within the field.
Plant Methods is an international journal with a large global author base and readership, and so we welcome applications from the international plant science community.
The initial term for this position will be 5 years. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted in the coming months for an interview and the successful applicant will be available to start as soon as possible.
