When a Δ(tMUT-tWT) of at least 5 min was observed, the sample was ascribed as WT. The two curves on the right represent the opposite situation: a MUT genotype tested with MUT set primers (continuous line) and WT set primers (dotted lines), in this case the Δt is in favour of the MUT primer set
