  1. At the first step, the correlations between mean grain weight and the preliminary image-derived indices were tested. Then, the indices with a higher correlation coefficients (R) than those of the two control indices, i.e. "Area" and "Kim index", were selected for further analyses. Kim index (i.e. Area1.32) was derived from the study of Kim et al., 2021.
