  1. The names of the experiments include the plant species, the type of growth-driven movements being tracked, and an acronym. Corresponding images of the plants are shown in Fig. 2, illustrating the view direction, the number of labels per plant, and the number of individuals being tracked in each frame. We analysed the sunflower shade avoidance video in two ways, tracking separate leaves (STL) and tracking separate plants (STP). An example of labelling and tracked frames for each experiment can be found in Fig. 2
