Visual summary of the open-source data processing pipeline. (1) Captured images are used to generate a sparse point cloud, (2) which is then used to generate a dense point cloud. (3) Dense point clouds are manually cleaned and scaled, and then used to generate either (4) a convex hull or (5) a meshed model. (6) The scaled point cloud and the meshed model can then be used for further analyses. Note that all but step (3) can be automated in Windows using batch files or, in the case of (6), using R scripts
