GFP expression in S and M callus-derived protoplasts of different ages. S (top panel) and M (bottom panel) protoplasts of different ages were transfected with pAct1sGFP-1 and imaged for GFP fluorescence. Images were taken at 80× magnification on a Leica M165 fluorescence microscope. Transfected protoplasts were in 1 mL WI solution pools in 12-well culture plates
