Effect of focusing on the element map of trichomes. A 1 × 1 mm area of an A. halleri leaf was measured in a single cycle with 150 ms integration time per point and 4 µm point distance. Measured with He atmosphere in the hutch but air in the measuring chamber. The element maps of this figure are semi-quantitative, obtained by spectral deconvolution but without normalization to a standard. Therefore, the units are detector counts, instead of concentration units
