Leaf tissue is coloured green, while air channel thickness (diameter, mm) has been represented by a ‘heat map’ colour scale where hotter colours represent larger channel diameters. 3D renderings vary in size between species: the sizes correspond to the region of interest used for analysis. For the rice samples, three such areas were analysed per sample and averaged together
