Representative images of selected areas of interest of chlorophyll fluorescence parameters for control and drought stressed maize plants. Data were obtained at 280 µmol m−2 s−1 of actinic lighting. These images were captured at the 7th day after water withholding in the stressed plants, when the water potential in the soil was around theoretical wilting point (−1.5 MPa). Letters embedded in each figure represent the comparison of means by Turkey’s test (p < 0.05). The images having the same uppercase letters indicate that the represented parameter shows no statistical differences between maize genotypes subjected to the same soil water availability. The images having the same lowercase letters indicate that the represented parameter shows no statistical differences between control and stressed plants to that genotype. The data in the images have been mapped to the color palette shown below
