Visual comparison of shoots induced under different nutritional and hormonal conditions but no AC. No significant differences in shoot count, size and growth speed were observed between the control medium (a) and media M2 (b), M4 (d), M5 (e), or M8–M14 (h). Significant improvements were observed on media M3 (c) and M6 (f), and to a lesser degree also in M7 (g); however in all cases the shoots appeared weak, etiolated, or showed an aberrant morphology when compared to the control.
