Automatically determined mean signatures of barley leaves cv. Ingrid WT (a) and Mla12 (c) inoculated with Blumeria graminis f.sp. hordei from 3 to 14 dai. The automatically assessed spectra were similar to signatures assessed manually. The differences between automatically and manually analyzed data for WT were −0.04 – 0.04 [%/100] (b), −0.02 – 0.03 [%/100] for Mla12 (d), respectively, over the wavelengths and time.
