From: Validation of doubled haploid plants by enzymatic mismatch cleavage
Agarose gel image of evaluation of doubled haploid production in barley using a SSR marker. SSR marker Bmac0113 displays molecular weight polymorphism in amplified bands between parental lines Golden Promise (GP) and HOR1606 (lanes 1 and 2 respectively). Amplification of GP produces a band of approximately 210Â bp and HOR1606 produces a band of approximately 175Â bp. A synthetic mixture of parental genomic DNA and F1 material from crossing of the two parents shows both bands (lanes 4 & 5). Doubled haploid plants produce either parental band (lanes 5-13).
