From: A high-throughput seed germination assay for root parasitic plants
Kinetics of seed germination and radicle growth in Phelipanche ramosa. Conditionned seeds of P. ramosa were stimulated or not (ns) with GR24 3 nmol L-1 for 0, 10 hours, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 , 6 and 7 days, then incubated with the MTT for 6 hours. Scale bars = 200 μm. Kinetics of MTT reduction was followed by absorbance measurement at 530 nm minus absorbance at 630 nm (A570-630nm), radicle length and germination percentage counting under binocular microscope (± confidence intervals α = 0.05, n = 8).
