  1. A segregating population produced by backcrossing (BC) a transgenic plant overexpressing the Arabidopsis thaliana GIBBERELLIC ACID 20 OXIDASE1 (GA20ox1)gene to the wild-type line B104 was analyzed for the cell lengths profile along the leaf axis. The results are based on the analysis of three transgenic and three non-transgenic BC1 plants. Lb: initial cell length Lm: final cell length; Pm: position along the leaf axis with maximal cell elongation rate; Pe: position along the leaf axis where cells reach their final length.
