M1 = DRE: TACCGAC AT, M2 = CRT: TGCCGAC AT, M10: TCCCGAC AT, M11: TTCCGAC AT (core CRT/DE sequence in italics), and the negative control CRT variant M7: TGAAGACAT Statistical analysis was performed on the set of no CBF, VrCBF1 and VrCBF4 data separately and significantly different activation values (ANOVA p < 0.05) are indicated by different letters. Error bars represent the standard deviation. Similar results were obtained in three other independent experiments.
