Comparison of PCR- Products utilizing extracted DNA and direct culture as template. Kit extracted DNA is amplified in three replicates (Repl.) using the primers TAReuk454FWD1 and TAReukREV3 [36]. Amplification from direct culture (dPCR) in two replicates using same primers as described in the methods section. – represents negative control. Whole PCR products (50 μl) are separated and visualised by ethidium bromide staining on a 1% TAE agarose gel.
